Vibrant city living at Trion Towers

MANILA, Philippines - People who appreciate the pulse and diversity of Bonifacio Global City (BGC) will find that Robinsons Residences’ The Trion Towers is an ideal city dwelling for a lifestyle that seeks to expand one’s horizons and outlook on life. “One of the unexpected benefits of living here is the switch to a healthier and more active lifestyle,” says unit owner Luigi Mapa. “Just take one look outside the window and down the streets of BGC, and you’ll be inspired to run, too.”

A few years ago, when Mapa was exploring the idea of getting a condominium unit, he was immediately drawn to The Trion Towers. “What personally sealed it for me were the balcony and the view. “ Now, he gets to savor the stunning view from his one-bedroom unit in the development’s first tower. “I have a truly breathtaking and permanent view of the American Battle Monument, extending all the way to Laguna Lake and Alabang.”

He likes to spend time in the unit’s balcony, which he has turned into a second office “because of how pleasant it is to work and read there. It’s the highlight of my friends’ visits here.” The dream of living in a home with a stunning view of the metropolis was made possible because the one-hectare condo community’s three towers — aligned with McKinley Parkway, Eighth Avenue, and the American Battle Monument — were designed following a revolutionary tri-axial formation that directs soft light and wind into the house. So no matter where one’s unit is located, “there’s always a gentle wind breezing through,” he explains.

The Trion Towers development offers one-, two-, and three-bedroom units with a range of layout options. The towers have alternating balcony features with windows that open up into the beautiful urban scene outside. Mapa, with some help from his design team, took advantage of these features and accentuated the place by trusting his aesthetic urgings: “I really wanted it to have that ‘coffee shop in the hills’ or ‘cabin by the lake’ look and feel.” They collected pieces from various antique furniture shops and recycled old furniture such as a wooden accordion door.

It is truly an exciting prospect for a homeowner to be able to bask in the limitless vista of possibilities from his own private balcony. “As a consultant and writer, it’s important for me to have a home that allows me to be productive and creative, as well as to rest and de-stress,” he points out. His experience inspires other condo dwellers to resist settling for units that feel like living in a cave: “I did away with conventional home pieces like a couch and TV. The temptation with a couch or TV is to fall asleep or get lazy. So instead, I selected different-sized chairs and tables that I arranged into productivity zones. I’ve also learned that short naps and changing your seating position can boost your productivity. So I use a wooden recliner and bean bag for a 20-minute productivity nap, and then pull up a stool or short table to continue working. Of course the best spot to work in is still the balcony, especially after 4:30 p.m.”

Construction of Tower 2 is headway with unit turnover scheduled in the second quarter of 2015.

Those looking to get a piece of the vibrant BGC lifestyle can still own their dream condo home at The Trion Towers for PhP 25,000 a month. Visit The Trion Towers Showroom at 8th Avenue corner McKinley Parkway from Mondays to Sundays, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m or call 636-0888 and 0925-777-7777.
